Because apparently my brain needed its own AI assistant.

The spark What gave me the idea?

I’ve tried plenty of productivity systems.

The problem is that many of them assume my brain works in a very particular way.

So I started experimenting with my own.

The problem What was I trying to solve?

I’m AuDHD, and I built her to support the way my brain actually works, not the way productivity tools assume it should.

The experiment What did I build?

Jarvia is my ADHD-first AI assistant, built using Claude Code in the terminal with Obsidian as a home base.

The idea is to explore a system that supports how I actually think, manage information and move between ideas.

I’m experimenting with organising notes, drafting, accessing knowledge and developing more agentic workflows.

What she does

  • Reads my emails and helps me see what actually needs my attention
  • Turns brain dumps into order, taking messy thoughts and shaping them into notes, tasks and next steps
  • Drafts for my review, so I stay in control of every decision (human in the loop, always)
  • Protects my energy, with an upbeat but energy-aware personality that helps me avoid overwhelm

Behind the build Tools, design and decisions.

Claude Code, running in the terminal on my MacBook, with Obsidian as her home base.

The challenges What was difficult?

There’s a responsible AI question in this too.

What happens when an assistant can access personal information and potentially take actions on your behalf? How do we manage permissions, transparency, privacy and human oversight?

Those questions are as important to this experiment as the technology itself.

The current reality Where the project stands.

She helps me organise the chaos. I still make the decisions.

Jarvia is also a live example of what I help clients do: using AI ethically and practically to make work feel lighter.

What’s next Possibilities, not promises.

Building agents that take on the grunt work, the repetitive admin tasks that drain time and focus, so I can spend more energy on the creative and strategic work I love.

Let’s talk

Let’s make AI useful.

If you’re exploring AI, struggling to work out where to begin, or realising your organisation needs stronger governance around how AI is already being used, let’s talk. You don’t need a finished brief.
