Speaking & conversations

People. Systems. Finding your voice.

Speaking about AI, neurodiversity and what happens when real humans are expected to navigate systems that were not always designed with them in mind.

Practical insight. Lived experience.

Something to think about.
Something to take with you.

My talks combine practical insight with lived experience. Whether it’s responsible AI, neurodiversity at work or my own journey, I want people to leave understanding something differently and more confident about what to do next. “I understand that now” beats “that sounded impressive”.

Signature talk

Wired Differently,
Building Differently.

A journey through neurodivergence, business, inclusion and AI.

My signature talk. How being wired differently has shaped the way I run businesses, build with AI and think about inclusion, told through my own route rather than a textbook, with practical takeaways for leaders and teams.

Ask about it as a keynote, a panel contribution or an in-house session.

Topics we could explore

Two threads.
Real people at the centre.

AI & the Future of Work

Making sense of the technology, the decisions around it and the people affected by both.

  • Responsible AI without the jargon
  • AI literacy for leaders
  • What businesses need to know before adopting AI
  • Shadow AI in the workplace
  • AI governance for SMEs
  • Human-centred AI
  • Accessibility and AI
  • Women building careers and businesses with AI
  • Keeping humans in the loop

Neurodiversity & Lived Experience

Celebrating being wired differently, speaking honestly about challenges, fear and stigma, and making room for people to thrive as themselves.

  • Celebrating being wired differently
  • The challenges, fear and stigma around neurodivergence
  • My neurodivergent journey
  • Late diagnosis and understanding yourself differently
  • ADHD, autism and the workplace
  • What masking can look like
  • Navigating systems that were not designed for neurodivergent people
  • Learning to advocate for yourself
  • Neurodiversity, confidence and finding your voice
  • Turning lived experience into something that can help others
  • Empowering neurodivergent people rather than trying to “fix” them
  • Building workplaces where neurodivergent people can actually thrive
  • Neurodiversity, entrepreneurship and doing work differently

My own journey

Wired differently.
And worth celebrating.

Being wired differently is something to celebrate: the ways we think, create, connect and approach the world. That celebration has room for the hard parts too, the challenges, fear, masking and stigma, without anyone being made to feel their wiring is the problem.

“I learned more about how I work, started advocating for what I need, and realised that sharing that journey could help other people feel more understood and empowered too.”

I talk about understanding my neurodivergence, learning to advocate for what I need and finding confidence in doing things differently: diagnosis, entrepreneurship, building in public and taking opportunities that once felt out of reach. My experience is mine, not everyone’s. I hope it makes room for someone else to feel understood, ask for what they need or find their own voice.

I hosted and moderated the conversation as co-founder of Her Future in AI CIC, with speakers Becky Lodge (Desk2Educate and StartUp Disruptors) and Natalie Haigh (Her Future in AI CIC) on what it has really been like to build long careers in tech and engineering: the barriers they have navigated, what has changed and what hasn’t, and how to drive change from within the industry, followed by open questions from the room. Breaking Barriers was brought together by We Are Tech Women, Desk2Educate, StartUp Disruptors and Her Future in AI, and hosted by the University of Southampton at the Sir James Matthews Building.
